An Evening of Songs in the Round with Kinsey Lee, Uncle Mitch, and Serafima

  • Collective Chemistry 5201 11th Ave NW Seattle United States (map)

Join us at Collective Chemistry for an evening of songs in the round with three incredible local artists. Outside in the courtyard, if the weather holds! BYOB, we will have some drinks for suggested donation as well.

Kinsey Lee is a member of the American indie folk band, The Wild Reeds. The Wild Reeds are known for their beautiful harmonies, poignant lyrics, and captivating performances, and Kinsey’s distinct vocals plus songwriting styles are a central part of ‘Reeds' sound. With 10 years of writing, touring, and performing on her resume she has begun to find her voice as a solo artist. Kinsey recently debuted her first solo track "Lover's song" recorded by Duff Thompson and Steph Green of Mashed Potato Records, and is currently working on follow-up album. Kinsey hopes to be like Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, Brandi Carlile, and Lucinda Williams when she grows up - musicians with strong lyrics, true grit, and a heartfelt story to tell.

With a keen eye for life and love, Serafima sings about the experience of a modern day woman in all its sparkle and grit. Through reflective hyperbole and honest observation her lyrics dance their way to the front of your heart, and live in the back of your head.

“In every performance, what’s been consistent is the way audiences are pulled into Serafima’s songs. The lyrics are unfailingly captivating—endearing and funny in a weird cocktail of earnestness and sarcasm.” - WASH Magazine

“Uncle Mitch pulls from his childhood in San Diego and adulthood in NYC, mixing dreamy surf chords with a rugged city style vibrato. Currently located in Seattle, his lyrics touch on deep yearning, beauty in the ordinary and untangling one’s self in the journey to self discovery. His music speaks to all whether you be an Aunt, Uncle, Mother, Brother, or Friend. Pour some whiskey, take a seat, and join Uncle Mitch in a song.”
